Reunion that would host up to 300 people
Our family spent 2 years researching and planning for a reunion that would host up to 300 people in the Windsor, Essex County Region. We discovered that Pelee Days Inn was the only facility that had everything that we were looking for. It is designed so that we felt that we were in contact with each other at all times. The water park and pool were a definite plus for children of all ages. We were able to have a banquet on site for a reasonable price. All venues were wheelchair accessible. The breakfast was very good and included in the price of the room.
We met several times with Denise Gaffan who assisted us with accommodation of all the events of the weekend.
All participants raved about the reunion and commented on how perfect the facility was for this purpose. The only complaint was from those who chose to stay only one night - they wished they had come for both nights.
In addition to the facility we were able to access attractions such as golf, restaurants, Point Pelee National Park, Goofy Golf, Go-Cart Racing and Canoeing. The majority however chose to stay indoors and enjoy one another and the facility.
“Mystery Dinner” he prepared was truly an experience none of us will ever forget.
I just wanted to send you a line to THANK YOU so much for your assistance in arranging this past weekend at THE PELEE INN. We were all pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of everyone we encountered during our stay.
We talked about this trip being a “Back to Roots” for our group to revisit the Pelee Inn after almost ten to twelve years absence. As discussed, the eight of us started our friend’s tradition of once a year golf/shopping trip at the Pelee Inn and since the inception of this adventure have been to numerous venues here in Ontario as well as Michigan. Well, I can tell you honestly the group was blown away by our stay.
Chef Michael and the “Mystery Dinner” he prepared was truly an experience none of us will ever forget. AWESOME is probably not strong enough of a description but there wasn’t one thing during the entire ten course meal that we didn’t love and the presentation of each course was a true work of art. We would be amiss if we didn’t mention how much we appreciated the attention and professionalism of our server “Rose”. She put the icing on the cake (so to speak) of our eating experience with her knowledgeable approach to describing and presenting our courses.
Our adjoining rooms overlooking the indoor pool and games area were perfect for our group to sit and discuss the events of the day. The guys took a plunge in the pool via a large slide. Great fun.
Kudos to you Denise for all your help in putting this together and everyone at the Pelee Inn. The ladies took a scenic drive along the lake to a few wineries for lunch, did some shopping in Leamington and Kingsville while the guys enjoyed eighteen holes at Erie Shores Golf course. Be assured that in this case “Word Of Mouth Advertising” is far better than any method of advertising because we all feel confident in recommending your facility to anyone that we may encounter.
Olympic torch relay
A group of 10 adults and 14 kids came and took 8 rooms for a fun-filled day and following morning. We brought our own food and set up tables for make your own food, and drink bar. It was a great day filled with visiting, game-playing and swimming. Even the adults went down the 2 slides, sat chatting in the hot tub and just hung out all day. We had an event the next morning (Olympic torch relay) so the hotel did everything to accommodate us to make our day better. They even prepared a hot lunch for us and gave us all late checkouts so that we could leave early- enjoy the event and come back for another fun meeting.
The staff was accommodating, friendly and wonderful. The pools we lots of fun and lifeguards that let the parents not have to be right on the kids. I appreciated the management quieting things down in the common games room to respect the other guests sleeping but still allowed us to congregate there for a quiet chat. It was very homey and the staff did anything they could for us. It was a great few days and we will be back for sure. A fun winter day of swimming and taking it easy. Thanks Pelee Days Inn!!

Trip type: Friends getaway For the past 10 years or so, a group of us have been venturing to Leamington for our annual Bike and Wine Tour. We head over to Pelee Island to have lunch, ride our bicycles and spend the afternoon at the Pelee Wine Pavilion enjoying the wonderful wine and other goodies.
We decided to stay at your hotel this year - first time.
Typically we would stay closer to town for ease of getting to the ferry etc. We took a chance and stayed at your facility since we had to drive vehicles to Kingsville anyway, it didn't really matter where we stayed.
Our group of 12 was pleasantly surprised and delighted and for good reason! Your staff was courteous, polite and personable. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and wanted to ensure we did as well.
The breakfasts were good and what a fabulous value - for the additional $4 we enjoyed a tasty breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, tater tots)- and the server was so friendly we felt as if she were part of our group!
The pool was very clean and we absolutely enjoyed the water slides - our 40 something year old group were the biggest kids in there on Saturday evening!
Your complimentary shuttle service to our dinner reservation was a very unexpected surprise! as was the return trip back to the hotel. Once less then we had to worry about!
The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and THANK YOU AGAIN for allowing 12 parents enjoy a weekend away without the kids.... we will be back in the fall to enjoy the monarchs before they migrate back to Mexico - this time with the kids because they too will enjoy the water park (almost as much as we did!)
Finally I want to say - we will absolutely 100% return to your facilities for our next year's bike and wine tour! We are just sorry we didn't "try something new" sooner!

We
stayed with the kids over
the Christmas Break and had
a wonderful time. The kids
love the water slides, pools
and games. We've stayed
there three times over the
last few years and each time
it gets better.
There may
not be a much to do as some
of the larger hotels with
bigger water parks, but for
the price, proximity to home
and what it offers, it is
the best bet. The
complimentary continental
breakfast in the morning was
a plus, as is having a
fridge in your room.
Even
with a full house the atrium
never seemed crowed and it
was great to watch the kids
make new friends and play in
the atrium all within site
of our room and balcony.
Not
being able to go someplace
down south for the holidays,
it was the perfect place to
go to sit around the pool,
relax and beat the winter
blues! The saltwater pools
were clean, warm and the
slides perfect for my kids.
Even the adults enjoyed the
slides! It is close to Point
Pelee, go-carting, and golf
for fun side trips. We will
be going back on March
Break!
